    6  US Monetary History and Policy

    The Fed has created some comic books in pdf form that discuss background material on
     Fed history and monetary policy. These are obviously not aimed at a high level of student
    but they are good for background and are entertaining. The proper reference on US
    monetary history is Friedman and Schwartz, A Monetary History of the United States 1867-
    1960 (There is a kindle edition). I will discuss this book in class.
